Chapter 152

Alexa's POV...

I made my way to my mother's grave after tip-toeing through numerous bodies which lay withered on the floor. I sat close to the tombstone, using my hands and touching the letters inscribed on the stone; I broke down in tears.

"If only you were here," I said as tears ran down my cheeks.

"I can't do this alone; please come back to me," I cried even harder as I begged for the impossible. I felt if only I could go back in time, things would have turned out the way they are now.

"Mother, please give me strength; I have been through hell lately, I'm confused, and I don't know what to do; I don't know the next step to take," I continued crying to my mother's grave.

"A lot of things have happened lately," I said, sobbing.
