But the peace and quiet were not to last. Now officially married, although in secrecy, I could feel some form of bond with Logan. Yes, we had always been mates, but it seemed like the moment I said I do, I could feel a stronger, almost permanent bond with him. It seemed like our promise to each other over a year ago had been officially sealed; I was now forever his life mate. 

Each night, in each other's arms, felt different; the feel of his arms around me felt different nowadays. I could tell when he was angry, moody, sad, frightened. It was as if I could clearly read his emotions.
