"Do you know my mother?" Alexa asked, and as soon as she did, Doctor Eva suddenly stopped moving her hands.

"Why are you trying to get words from my mouth? That day I told you that the resemblance between you and your mum was striking; it was just a slip of the tongue. I don't know her," Doctor Eva replied confidently in such a way that one could hardly detect her lying.

Alexa smiled as she continued treating her wounds. She knew Doctor Eva was hiding some things, and she would force or convince her to spill them out.

Selina kept staring at them, wondering what the duo were talking about,

"Why do my instincts keep telling me that you're lying?" Alexa asked, still on the same topic.

Doctor Eva exhaled sharply, getting tired of Alexa's troubles.

"It's because your instincts are telling you the wrong thing. Can't someone make a simple mistake while communicating?" Doctor Eva asked rhetorically, trying to be on her cool side.
