At the airport it was a rush for Ava, her flight was already boarding, she had been able to get an available seat on one of the flights that was going towards the coastal city, near her hometown.
From there, she needed to hire a vehicle or catch an available shuttle that went towards the small town a few hours away from the main city and then go directly to the hospital.
Just as she got to the boarding gate, she turned towards Cade, sadness in her eyes, “Thank you for everything…” She began, “I don’t know when I will see you again…”
