(Theia’s POV)
“And the bathroom is through here,” I watched Leah as she danced around the room showing me things, while I got my breath back from climbing all those stairs.
“I’ll get Dominic to clear some space so that you can put your things in there,” she said as she came back out, “But there is space for you in the closet.”
“Leah,” I said, and she looked at me, “I’m only here for a couple of days.” Leah pulled a face that said she didn’t agree and carried on talking about the room.
I looked around. It wasn’t really a room, it was a full apartment or something. And it was at least double the size of mine. There was a living room, with a separate mini kitchen and then four bedrooms. The main bedroom, the one I was sitting in now, had an ensuite bathroom, but then there was a separate bathroom as well. There was even a roof terrace. It wa
(Theia’s POV)I clung to Dominic as he carried me through the woods back to the house. I kept looking over his shoulder to see Liam walking close behind. He just grinned or winked at me when our eyes made contact. I ended up burying my head into Dominic’s shoulder instead. When we got back to the house, Dominic carried me up the stairs and to the bedroom. I finally opened my eyes when he had put me down on the bed.“Did you have another vision?” he asked, and I looked over at Liam, who was standing by the door. Dominic followed my direction of sight and frowned.“Liam, can you go get Doctor Baxter please?” he asked, and Liam narrowed his eyes.“It’s okay, I’ll mindlink him now,” he said and Dominic shook his head.“I want a moment alone with my mate,” he said. “Please go get him,” Liam glared at the back of Dominic&rsq
(Theia’s POV) I was woken up by Dominic. I opened my eyes to see him smiling at me. I looked at the clock on the nightstand and saw it was a little after 5pm. “I thought you might want a shower and stuff before dinner,” Dominic said, and I nodded. “Oh god, yes please,” I said. Despite it feeling like half of Dominic’s family and friends hating me, I still wanted to make a good impression. I climbed out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. I immediately saw that a shelf had been cleared and my things were there. That made me smile a little. I quickly got a shower and brushed my teeth before going back out into the bedroom wrapped in a towel. I looked around and saw my bag now empty by the closet door. I opened the closet and saw all my clothes hung up on one side. I pulled out a blue dress and some underwear and began to get dressed. I was just brushing out my hair when Dominic opened the bedroom door and leaned against th
(Theia’s POV) “Nice of you both to join us,” I blushed at Dominic’s mother’s knowing smile as we entered the dining room. Just what I needed, the whole room to know that we were just… “Sorry we’re late,” Dominic said as he held out a seat for me. “We got a little distracted,” Leah giggled and I wanted the floor to open up and swallow me. “It’s to be expected dear,” his mother said, and then leaned over and patted his father’s hand, “We were like rabbits when we first felt the bond, isn’t that right dear?” “Mum!” Leah called, the look of horror on her face. Logan started laughing and hid his face. “You’ll understand when you find your mate,” their mother replied, looking adoringly at her mate. I saw Leah glance at Liam and then pull a face. “Doubtful,” she said, “Not everyone gets the fairytail.” my eyes widened as Liam shot her a glare before covering it with pulling out his phone. He didn’t see that I saw,
(Theia’s POV)I looked down at the ring in the velvet box. It was beautiful. It was made up of a central stone that was a pale pink and then clear stones surrounding it. It glittered in the moonlight. Everything about this was perfect, like it was something in a book or a movie. Dominic smiled up at me with all the love in his eyes. I believed every word he said when he said I was the love of his life. The setting was amazing, a private island on a lake with the moon shining down. It was absolutely perfect. Everything a girl could ask for. Everything I ever dreamed of.“No,” I said quietly. I watched Dominic’s face fall and felt my heart break. He looked down at the ground, and then back up at me, confusion clear on his face.“What?” he asked, and I shook my head. I sat down on the ground and he moved to sit next to me. I felt tears running down my face.“Baby,” Domi
(Theia’s POV)Breakfast was quick and after an even quicker shower, we were ready to set off. Liam suggested taking one larger seven seater car and Dominic agreed. One of the warriors drove while Liam claimed shotgun. I sat in the middle bank between Dominic and Leah and the other warrior sat in the rear bank. I’d asked why we needed two warriors with us, which earned me an eye roll from Liam. Leah, after glaring at Liam, explained that it was standard for two warriors to flank the Alpha on any long trips, even friendly ones. She explained that as the Alpha of the largest southern pack Dominic was considered a high level target, and as his mate, so was I. I really didn’t like the sound of being considered a target but Leah assured me that she would protect me, and so would Dominic and the warriors. I easily picked up on her, leaving Liam out of that equation.Dominic told me that the journey was around six hours
(Dominic’s POV)I was standing with Liam and the guards, not really listening to what they were talking about, when I spotted Theia and Leah walking back towards the car. They seemed deep in conversation themselves, and it made me smile that they had become such good friends. I was initially so annoyed with Leah for inserting herself into Theia’s life after I had specifically told her not to. But I am grateful that she did now. I would never have known about that bloody sorcerer Mark sniffing around, and I wouldn’t have been able to save Theia from him. Liam had said that I was too lenient on Leah for going against a direct order. He even suggested that her being my Gamma wasn’t such a good idea. But the blood bond is such a valuable asset in a pack that I couldn’t imagine anyone, other than my little sister being my Gamma.“Alpha,” I heard the annoyed tone in Liam’s voice and turned my attention back to him. I looked over and s
(Dominic’s POV)True to Jake’s word, food arrived within the next thirty minutes. It was an arrangement of cold cuts and breads and cheeses, with some fruit selections. There was a note telling us that if we wanted anything else, to ring down to the kitchen.I used the food as an excuse to finally get Theia to sit down on the bed. She had explored the room, the adjoining bathroom, and all of the cupboard spaces over and over. I joked that maybe she was looking for a secret door or something, which had got her all excited and she went hunting for secret doors. I couldn’t help smiling at her excitement. It really was the happiest I had seen her. There was something about this place that really seemed to give her that extra buzz.Once we had eaten something, I pulled her into my arms, partly to stop her jumping up and exploring again, and partly because the constant need to touch her, to have her close grew st
I wanted to leave a quick note about the updates of this book. The Alpha's Human Seer is one of the firsts books in a large universe called The Dark Essence. It will be spread across five initial series and they all intertwine in some ways. While writing this book I have realised that part of this book will reveal spoilers for the other book I am writing right now (Alpha Hybrid Queen). At present, this book is two months ahead in the timeline to that book.My concern, and main reason for slowing down on updates is the spoilers. The Dark Moon pack meantioned in this book is the main pack in Alpha Hybrid Queen. In hindsight I should have strated that book first. So my plan going forward is to update this book once a week. This should give me time to get working on Alpha Hybrid Queen (which is a longer book) and get it finished enough in time for this book to be back on daily updates starting April. I promise this book will be finished (hoping b
