Chapter 43

(Dominic’s POV)

I stormed in through the doors of the building where my apartment used to be. The one owned by Mark Illington. I sold my apartment after I killed Mark for daring to hurt my mate. I wanted nothing to do with him and his family. But now I needed answers.

I didn’t care that it was now three in the morning. I had to have those answers. I had to know if what my sister was telling me was true. Part of me couldn’t believe that Liam would betray me like this. That he had been betraying me for so long. But the other part of me saw all the dots connecting. Not just between Theia and Liam, but also between Leah and Liam. I was horrified to find out that my own little sister had suffered at the hands of my own best friend. That he would have caused her the pain of rejection, and that she suffered in silence through it. But if what Leah had told me about Theia had told her was true, then I was going to rip that bastard apart limb from limb.

I wonder who Liam answers to. I don’t think he’d be working for another magical species. I think there’s a wolf playing the long game to take back control of the Sunset Rose pack.
