Sophia’s POV

After the tense negotiations and the binding blood covenant, we finally returned to the safety and comfort of our mansion. The weight of the day's events still hung heavily in the air, but there was also a sense of relief and accomplishment that filled our hearts. Peace between humans and werewolves was no longer just a distant dream; it was becoming a reality.

As we stepped through the door, Alexander pulled me into a warm embrace. His worry for me was evident in his eyes, but he couldn't hide the joy and pride that also shone there. I felt his strong arms wrap around me, and I buried my face in his chest, finding solace in his presence.

"I was so worried about you, Sophia," he whispered into my hair, his voice tinged with emotion. "You're the bravest person I know."

I looked up at him, touched by his words, and managed a weak smile. "It was a necessary sacrifice, Alexander. I believe in what we're doing, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes for peace."
