Seraphina’s POV

The air was thick with tension as Alexander’s voice sliced through the stillness, catching me off guard. "Seraphina, why are you here?"

I turned, my heart pounding as I faced him – Alexander, the center of my hopes and frustrations. He stood there, a wall of strength and resolve, his presence a reminder of the choices that had brought us to this point.

His protective stance shielded her from my gaze, and though it stung, I couldn't deny the delight that surged within me at the sight of him. It had been too long, and the ache of separation had been a constant companion. But now, as he stood there before me, I felt a mixture of emotions – longing, regret, and a stubborn determination.

Alexander stared at me, his gaze cold and unwavering, and his words cut through the air like a blade. "What brings you to my chambers, Seraphina?"
