Kristof's Point of View

Wrapping my arms around Aláine, I was relieved to have her back. In such a short amount of time, she had become my world's moon and stars. I never wanted to let her go. Ever.

"Seeing you again is a sight for sore eyes," I said, nuzzling into her neck, smelling her unique scent.

"I tried to escape him. I tried so hard, but he was too strong for me," she cried.

"Aláine. It's okay, and well... he was too strong until you shifted," I reminded her.

"Yes," she replied.

Aláine's Lycan was spectacular. The only wolves with our colouring were members of the Royal Family. I didn't know why she would have the same colour. It's not because I was an Alpha or the Crown Prince. After all, my father was an Alpha and King. My mother had been human, just like Aláine, and she was not the same colouring.
