Angel’s POV

I laid down beside Dante. He immediately wrapped his arms around my body as his head rested on my chest. I brushed a strand of hair away from his face, rubbing his back in small circles. His scent surrounded me like a comforting blanket. The love I felt for him in that moment was overwhelming. I wanted nothing but to protect him and be beside him for the rest of my life. My mate, my King, my Alpha. There was no way anything Kamala said was the truth. Our love was strong; indestructible. I didn't know what happened to her and Jalen, but I refused to let that happen to us.
