Angel’s POV I pursed my lips as I glared up at him. "Umm...what happened to giving me a chance to protect myself? I'm stronger now." "I know you are, but King Jett and your father are still out there. I refuse to let anything bad happen to you ever again." He kissed my forehead before letting me go. "Noah is going with you. Dante's POV After Rashaad and Akira arrived for their afternoon shifts, we talked briefly about what happened with the rogues. Dante's POV It had been a week since Dad and the Elders were killed. Every day that passed, the pain in my chest lessened a little, but the guilt very much overpowered the grief. I had to live the rest of life knowing that I was the reason he was killed. Not only was I being irresponsible when it happened, Jett seemed to target him because of me. Jasmine took his death harder than I did, but Mom hadn't been out of bed since she felt it happen. The death of a mate is said to be the most painful thing a wolf ever experiences and most don't survive it.
