Chapter 101

LORRAINE'S POV

Later that evening, Rose and I sat outside, just stating into space in silence. The cool evening breeze hit our skin. I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding. I felt so frustrated and overwhelmed at the same time. There was a huge knot in my chest that refused to get loose.

"Thanks for letting me come over, Rose," I said, looking down at my hands.

"Of course, Lorraine," Rose replied "You know I'm always here for you. Is there something on your mind? What's going on?"

I took a deep breath, feeling the familiar ache in my chest. There was one person on my mind - someone that wasn't supposed to be. I should have forgotten about him the moment he banished me from the pack. Yet somehow my wolf still craved and cried out for him.

"It's Kylian," I admitted, "I still think about him. These days, I can't get him out of my head. I mean, I've thought of him over the years but... I don't know. I know I shouldn't think about him but I can't help it"
