Chapter 78

MOLLY'S POV

As soon as the doctor told me that the virus was contagious, I felt like I couldn't breathe. Without saying another word, I made my way to my room. I needed to think, to process what I had just heard. I closed my door, leaning against it as I breathed heavily.

If the virus was highly contagious then it means that a lot of people in the pack would be infected soon... Including me. The thought scared me. I clutched my swollen belly. If I caught it, would my baby be affected?

I collapsed onto the edge of my bed. So many thoughts raced in my head to the point where I started feeling dizzy. My breath came in ragged gasps as my mind raced with terrifying possibilities. What if I was infected too? What if this my baby was in danger? The very thought made me feel like my heart sank to the bottom of my stomach.
