“Found her.” Zac spoke after what seemed like an eternity of waiting.

“Where is she?” I asked.

“Louisiana. I can get us near her, but there is a strong ward surrounding her location. It shouldn’t take me that long to de-spell it. But we need to go now, I have a sinking feeling that if we don’t hurry we may get to her too late. I was able to sense her, but it was a weak link.”

I didn’t respond, I just placed my hand on his shoulder and prepared myself for the sickness I knew was going to come. Alec also placed his hand over mine and the next thing I knew we were standing in a Louisiana Bayou, knee-deep in the trench of water and mud.
