"Kevin, are you absolutely certain about tracing Victoria near the Moonshine River?" I narrow my eyes in suspicion.

The rage within me bubbled like a pot of boiling oil each time I thought of Victoria, and the month-long search I had endured. Despite torturing and threatening her poor parents, the information I collected was always a dead end. I resorted to trying to murder her beloved father, only to change my mind at the last second in a fit of mercy.

But now my Beta reveals that she is closer than ever? The anger that ripped through me then was so intense it felt like fire coursing through my veins.

Kevin nods confidently. "Yes, Alpha Gabriel. I received information from a reliable source who claimed to have detected Victoria's scent in the vicinity of the Moonshine River."
