Alpha Xavier

There she goes, my mate, running away from me again.

I release a long sigh as I watch her fly away. What am I going to do with her?

'Next time, push her against the mattress and ravage her,' my wolf howls inside me.

"Xander!" I growl at him. "I will not force myself on my mate!"

'Ah, you are too noble for your own good, Xavier. I felt her wolf, and let me tell you, she was eager,' Xander says.

The truth is that he is right. She smells of beauty and innocence and everything that I wanted to claim as mine. Only, I had promised myself that when she came into heat, we would make love together – not have me take her like some animal in a rut.

"Yeah well, I would rather wait until Sylvia is ready," I murmur under my breath. It helped the words escape my lips before Xander could say something lewd again.

'Boring,' he says, then goes silent.
