Skye's POV

I didn't utter anything, even after Alec and his father finished their argument.

I stood still as I watched them raising their voice at each other, and Alec trying to protect me. Saying that he will not let his father kick me out of their territory.

The more words I heard come out of his mouth, the stuffier my heart felt.

I knew that he was going to give it some thought, about us, about me being his mate. But I didn't thought that he was actually serious to the point that he would go against his father's orders.

There was something in him that I saw at this moment that made me feel secured, like I didn't have to fear being rejected by him.

It was as if, I can hear him say to his father that I was his mate, that he was fighting for the both of us.

"You do not have any say in this Alec! You made a mistake and you will own it and be a father to that child!"
