"That's enough!" Lord Asgar yelled loudly to stop us from bickering. He was the sovereign of the phoenix, what he says goes, and I instantly froze upon hearing the authority in his voice.

"Skye, stand down." My brother gritted his teeth, wanting me to stop challenging Argus.

I gave one last glare at Argus' way and he was looking at me with the same amount of intensity.

"Where's mother and father anyway?" I asked Adolfus, but instead of answering me, he just disregarded my question and fixed my posture instead.

"Dear, I know you and my son have your fair share of differences, but it would really benefit all of us if you agree to this marriage with him." Lady Orella tried to persuade me. She's been nothing but good to me, however, I can never agree with this request. It was too much.
