The setting sun lit the final dying sky like the embers of a burning burial pile. The intense and electrifying beauty was somewhat subdued by what it seems like the end of the world for all of us.

Ahbaya and I sat on two stripy deck chairs laying on the sandy yet rock filled shore of the Eastern Kingdom. The armor lay across Ahbaya’s lap as she sipped rum and slightly bitter aged grape juice. She played with the lidless cup in hrt left hand, dropping it onto the sandy ground ever so often.

“Meliodas is right,” Ahbaya said suddenly.

“What?” I moved slightly, and I felt my heavy eyelids being dragged up for a moment and blinked a couple of times, trying to process whatever she said as I tried to maintain the look of relaxation on my face.
