I dragged Blue out of everyone’s line of sight and into the shady part of the forest. Ahbaya allowed me to do so, mainly because I promised this would all be over in a few minutes. We seated ourselves in the branches of the trees. Blue was sitting on a slightly lower branch of the tree, but not low enough that he couldn’t hear me.

Even from the distance between us, I could hear his shallow breaths, and how much he forced himself to exhale slowly. The only noise coming from the forest was Blue’s nervousness and how he couldn’t seem to calm himself. He looked so tense. So nervous. Even the slightest sound of twigs being broken into two would make him snap and flinch. . He was always the chatty one, even when he, Yohan and I were still part of my mate’s harem. Now he was quiet and this look of utter confusion loomed over his features.

“We’re here to talk.” I voiced out, not wanting to prolong his and my suffering for any longer. “You need to tell me what’s going on with you.”
