Chapter 6

***Dante's pov***

"For real? What's wrong with Kali? Isn't she the same old Kali? The crazy bitch?" I asked myself 

I was confused at this point. Why is she here? Does she have a motive or something to do to me?

"Its fine by me. As far as I'll be able to make some money." She smiled and I was left in awe.

"You'd do the job? like you'll be my messenger?" I asked again to be sure and she nodded. Kali Greenwood,the spendthrift,prostitute and greedy human being will come to my company for a job?

"What's going on right now? Are you okay Kali? Like did you hit your head on something?" I asked and she shaked her head.

"I'm okay. What can I do now?" She inquired and I rolled my eyes.

I grabbed Daniel's laptop and gave to her.

"Go dust it up or clean it." I said just to get rid of her.

"Sure sir." She flashed a smile at me again before taking the laptop from me. I felt very irritated and disgusted. I hate this woman so much. Everything she does,just irritates me.

***Selene/Kali***

After the questioning and answering and the stink eye he was giving me,I was given a task. Finally! He has entrusted me to a duty. I was sad and happy at the same time. Happy he had finally accepted me and sad that I won't be able to monitor the golden bloodline. He asked me to clean a rectangle box. I haven't seen it before in my life. It was a strange looking box with a light. I didn't know what to do so I went into the bathroom and washed with water and soap. I made sure to wash all of it's part well.

I bent it and left it in the bathroom for it to dry before bringing it back.

I went back and stood 

"What else can I do sir?" I asked and he eyed me again.

I still don't know what Kali's offense it but whatever it is,I'll find out and correct all wrongs. I also need to find out the reason why I was brought into the world and how I can go back. Why I was brought back to life in another person's body also.

"Just sit down Kali." Daniel answered.

"Get me a cup of coffee. Americano!" He said and I went off.

Coffee? What's coffee? What's Americano? I really don't know anything about this world,I'm so confused and tired. I should have asked him where I could get the coffee from but I was overwhelmed with the excitement that I was working again.

I asked one of the passerbys who happened to be a worker in the off. She was holding some papers in her hands and was cladded in  black and white clothing. 

"Sorry miss. Do you know where I could get coffee from?" I asked.

"Go to the company's cafeteria." She replied sharply. Before she could move away,I stopped her again.

"Where's the company's cafeteria? Sorry I'm new here." I explained and she pursed her lips.

"Third floor." She replied and left.

This building is gigantic. How would I get to the third floor from here. I don't know how to operate the elevator. It was a man who had helped me in the morning. It was such an embarrassing moment as I didn't even know it  was called an elevator and it could take me to any floor I want.

I went in again and lucky enough someone was going to the same third floor. The door chimed and I went out. I went straight to the cafeteria and ordered an Americano as he requested.

I went back to his office and handed it over to him. He took a sip and screamed at my face.

"What is this? What have you done again Kali? What is wrong with you?" He screamed at me.

"What did I do wrong sir?" I asked and he glared.

"What is this? Just taste it. Taste it!" He shoved the cup in my hands.

I took a sip and was disgusted. What is this? Why is he drinking something like this?

"Is anything wrong with it sir?" I enquired and he laughed at me.

"I'll just let it slide because this is your first day. Daniel will tell you how things work in here and if you still make mistakes after Daniel's teachings I'll fire you." He said and I bowed.

"Go get me Daniel's laptop." He ordered and I scurried off.

I brought it back and handed it over to him. He glared before he finally stood up and sparked.

"Are you crazy Kali? Like are you mad?" He yelled.

"I'm not crazy sir. What did I do?" I replied.

"You washed a laptop? Are you here to ruin me? Are you here to destroy me on purpose you bitch?" He yelled.

"Why are you yelling at me? You asked me to wash the box and I did. I washed it well with soap. I believe I did an excellent job sir." I replied and he rubbed his head.

"You've destroyed it. All you needed was a duster to clean up the dust,not water." 

"You know what. Just get out. Pack your things and get out of my company." He ordered.

I can't bear to lose my job. I have to protect this man at all cost. He mustn't chose the wrong way this time around. I want to live. I want to meet my destined mate and have a family of my own.

"I'm sorry sir. Don't do this to me. I really need this job." I begged but he refused.

"Leave now Kali! I don't want to ever see you again." He ordered.

"Alpha Dante! Please calm down. I didn't know how to wash the 'laptop'" I said sincerely,praying and hoping he doesn't sack me. 

"I'm telling you for the last time to leave my office. I don't want to see you again. I can't always be at loss. Do you know the kind of information stored on this laptop?" He yelled and all I could do was bow. I've never been yelled at like this before in my life but because of the golden bloodline,I'm swallowing my pride and being humble.

He walked up to me,grabbed my hand and pushed me out the door.

"I hate you Kali. I hate you so much. Just get your crazy self out of my kingdom." He yelled and all I could do was just to stare. I didn't want to waste my tears on that. I'll just concentrate and find ways to carry out my job perfectly as a protector.
