At first everything happened in slow motion. Isabella could see the muscled figure approaching, the swing of his shoulder tossing his hair around his shoulders, and his lips moving, saying something about taking the tray from her.

Then, she saw the faint print in the front of the towel. She hadn't planned to look there, even the gods could see how innocent she was, but it was difficult not to look that way when he towered above her, displaying the long outline pressing against the fabric on the towel.

She had wanted to speak, to tell him that she didn't need some hours off and that her night was fine, but the words did not form. So, as an alternative, she tried to move back while forcing her mouth to resume functioning, but her feet had decided to fail her as well.

She yelped as her back reached for the floor. The tray went into the air. Even as she fell, her mind was on the tray.
