There were several grumbles from the pack, but eventually, they all agreed to let me rest and they all headed away to their rooms. I sat down in the living room with disbelief, I almost had her. This was my chance to take her before she masters her powers. So, I was desperate to give myself another shot at her.

When I fit to my room, I called Annabelle, but she didn't pick up her phone. Then, as I tried to call her again, her message came into my phone.

"I shouldn't have done this. Yes, I want Alexander, but I'm not this desperate to hurt my friends or family in the process."
