The false accusation

I fought back the tears that rolled down from my eyes as I walked out of the ward. My heart ached in pain as I walked toward nowhere in particular. I was actually going without any direction.

Getting to the garden, I slumped hard on the grassy floor, and allowed the tears that build up in my eyes drop down as I remembered how Damon accused me of poisoning him.

It really hurted my heart that my mate believed that I tried to poison him, that I wanted him dead.

If nobody believes me, he should believe me. Why? Why can't he just trust me for once? He has been accusing me of several crimes without listening to my side of the story.

I know no matter how hard I try to explain myself he wouldn't believe me. Why is he doing this to me? I asked myself as I cried, with tears rolling down from my eyes.
