Chapter 23

'Do you mind if you sort out the arrangements for the mourning ceremony?" Brody asked me and I nodded no. I could tell he didn't want to think about the deaths any more, he was beating himself up about them. "All our traditions, schedules, pack members and the files on the wolves that died are here" he said, handing me a pile of documents.

I smiled at him before I took them and walked to the couch on the other side of the office. "Thank you" Brody smiled at me as I sat down and put the documents next to me.

"No problem" I told him truthfully, giving him a genuine smile. Both my wolf and I just wanted to make him happy, at that point it was all we cared about. Brody turned back to his work as I began reading over the notes he had given me.

We worked for hours, only muttering a few words to each other ever so often. I didn't realise how hard it was organising a mourning ceremony. I had to set a date and time, make a schedule of the order of events, work out what we needed, work out how
