Chapter 25

I went under the surface of the clear blue water; still fully dressed. My feet hit the bottom of the small lagoon and I pushed off it and back to the surface. I came out of the water and coughed slightly. Brody stood on the edge of the pool with an amused smile on his face as I pushed my wet curls from my face.

I leaned back; floating on the surface of the water and smirked at Brody. "Now that was just mean" I stated, with a smile as I looked around the clearing. It was beautiful. It had lush green grass with a row of tall trees circling the edge. On the left side, there were rows of rose bushes and small white flowers. And on the right side, there was the large pool where I was.

"It's beautiful here" I breathed out as I looked around; taking in every aspect.
