Chapter Forty-Five: Raven

“Uhm hi,” I mumbled as I managed a forced smile. She, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear, like we had met personally before.

“Don’t just stand there, come in.”

A sudden surge of irritation hit me.

Why did she act like this was her house? Who the hell was she, anyway?
