CHAPTER 92

GINA’S POV

I would've thrown up from the quick motion of the car, but somehow I managed to hold it back in. Maybe it was fear that suppressed the nausea because to say I was afraid wasn't explanatory— I was fucking terrified.

I gripped my seat, my fingers digging into the leather as I held on for my dear life. Devyn drove fast like we were in a speed racing competition. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, yet, he still managed to stay.

We were in a small town but there were still people, houses, and cars, and I was worried that what happened back at the hotel would happen again. The way Devyn sped made me wonder if Romania even had cops.

I felt my heart would leap out of my chest every time we almost knocked into a car, and Devyn still effortlessly dodged them. Bullets whipped past us and I was scared it would hit onlookers.
