I felt anger surge up within me as I clenched my fists. I began heading in the direction of the forest but again brown hair flew in front of me.

“Wait”

I stopped in my tracks as the girl came face to face with me.

“What is it?” I barked at her and she spoke,

“How can you leave just like that? You are supposed to take me with you”

She said and I rolled my eyes.

I had just clearly told her how she and Talia were not suited for the mission. They both had a lot to learn.

Yet here she was, arguing with me.

“I told you that I would take you on a mission that isn’t too risky. I am not carrying the weight of your responsibility all by myself. Silas is already injured so I have to be extra careful”

“How would I learn if you never teach me?” She asked and my eyes darkened.

Just like that, the atmosphere around us shifted. I raised an eyebrow and she bit her lip as she realized what she had stated out loud.

I took that as a perfect opportunity to intimidate her. Thus, I walked towards her
