Evan's POV

I lay on the bed, panting on the bed while Clarissa lay on my chest. He had been so tired after her second climax that she didn't stay awake. She was so beautiful, but I would never have thought someone would abandon her in such a way. She had everything a guy needed, and I was going to help her get another man even if it would take me a very long time. She didn't deserve to be pained in such a way.

I stood up from her side and went to take a shower. I closed my eyes in the cold shower, allowing the water to wash down the hotness I was feeling inside. I couldn't help, but think about my mate. It seemed like she was having fun with another man, and I could feel it.

It wasn't as painful because we hadn't marked each other yet, but it was still hurting. I turned off the shower, wrapping a towel around my waist.
