The next morning, I was still not able to get a hold of myself. Everything seemed to be working desperately against me. I could not get my mind off the reason for which Diego pulled off the stunt that he pulled last night. I was restless. Alpha Zeus Ludendorff did not have to see something like that. He could have simply taken a little more time to barge in. By then, I would have pushed the bastard son of a bitch away from me. Everything seemed planned to me. It was not a coincidence that he was there. How did he even get to know about the welcoming party that was to take place? Besides, that place was the hidden venue of the darkest moon pack— a place that was kept sacred from the touches of modern civilization for many years. But somehow, he got to be in there and lured me out by using a little boy. But where were they all at that time? Neither Maxwell, First Lady, not even the Alpha himself was anywhere to be seen at the time.
