I stepped away from the door to let bear pass through.

Walking over to one of the chairs, I sat down and watched as our male pack doctor walked over to Zinnia.

My shoulder were tense as J watched his eyes roam her figure, sizing her up.

I can tell that the bear shifter was a little hesitant to give Haden's daughter a check up. But unlike hos wife -Monika- he seemed willing to help if his help was needed.

Bear nodded his chin over to the bed by the other side of the room without taking his eyes off of her.

Zinnia looked a bit intimidated by the man towering over her. Towering wouldn't even be the right word.

Bear towers over me. But Zinnia is really small that if he falls on her, she would be a bag of broken bones.

Those electric green eyes of hers jumped over to me and I had to physically stop myself from standing up and walking over to her.

Instead, I kept myself seated firmly in the chair and gave her a nod.
