Chapter 26: The Dream in Multiverse

(Sophia's Dream)

As Sophia's sister approached, Barnes and the other officer lowered their weapons, recognizing her as a fellow officer. Sophia stood frozen, unsure of what to say or do next.

"Sophia didn't steal anything," her sister spoke up, her voice firm. "I called her here to help me with an investigation."

Barnes looked skeptical, but Sophia's sister produced a badge, proving that she was indeed a detective. Barnes grudgingly let them go, but not before warning Sophia that he would be watching her every move.

As they walked away, Sophia's sister turned to her with a smile. "I'm sorry I had to pull that stunt," she said. "But I needed to get you out of trouble. You looked like you could use some help."

Sophia felt tears well up in her eyes as she hugged her sister tightly. "Thank you," she whispered. "I didn't know what to do."
