Chapter 30

Asher's POV

"What are you thinking about?"

I had asked her when my lips were dangerously hanging beside her ear.

I had moved closer to her to make the threat regarding her mother because I knew it was somewhat private, not everybody could know of the problems she had at home. Whether or not she was a deceitful bitch, I was still somehow considerate.

Maybe this issue with her started because of her mother's neglect or the hateful words she used to address her daughter.

However, it was when I found my lips next to her ear, my skin almost touching hers did I realize that it was a bad idea to have moved closer to her.

My heart was racing and I could feel her shuddering as well. It seemed I wasn't the only one feeling affected by what was going on.

However, I was angry at how my body was reacting. It was just sex, I knew it was just sex, she wasn't my mate, I shouldn't feel this way for her. My body should not be reacting the way it was.

I couldn't do anything about it but it didn't help
