Lisa's POV
I rock the baby back and forth in my arms, singing lullabies to her. It has been nearly a week since Frances and Brandon have been staying at the estate. Their wedding is in a couple of days. With Frances being pregnant, they had to quicken the marriage preparations. I sink to the edge of the bed, watching her eyes close. She was crying when I first got here, and I've managed to calm her down. Dom was in the bathroom, cleaning it up before he left for the Senate meeting, scheduled to start in half an hour. I smiled down at her. I couldn't help but wonder how someone who had made a part of my life a nightmare could have something so precious and innocent. The front door opened and I froze where I sat, unable to move.
"Dominic, I wanted to go over a few things with you before the meeting starts." Kayden freezes as he sees me holding a baby.
I stood up. Kayden, take it easy. Don't freak out; I can explain everything. "
