CHAPTER 144 – Broken

Lisa's POV

"When I was attacked by the intruder in my bedroom, My mark burned when he touched me. It wasn't a rebel then, and you said it wasn't you, and I believed you then because you had no reason to lie to me. But after hearing you say this, I don't know what to believe anymore.

"Lisa, there's no way I'll ever harm you."

"Was it Klaus then?"

"He hated you then, but it wasn't him."

"Do you know who it was?"

"I have my suspicions about who might have carried out the attack."

I ran my hands over my face to wipe my wet face. "Who do you have in mind?"

"The thing there is that there are many possibilities and several people who hate you."

I step towards him and stare him straight in the eyes. "I know you have someone who's more guilty than the others."

He nods. "I do."

"Tell me who it is."

"I will, but I want to let you know that there's no way I could have removed them
