Chapter 41 – The Starry Night
Lisa's POV
It was just past midnight and I had already lost count of how many times I had vomited. Each time I thought about what I was about to face, I couldn't help but keep the bile down my throat. I thought of saying I was sick and using it as an excuse not to go to the Beta induction. But then, I knew Klaus would have none of it. I had already accepted his invitation, and there was no turning back on my word. Kayden had told me that he needed to talk to his father about a few things that he wouldn't tell me. I was still very much an outsider.
What about Lisa? I hear Kayden's voice from outside of my door. I groaned before I emptied the contents of my belle once again. Wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, I stand up from the floor at the base of the toilet and rinse my hands in the sink. I stepped out of the bathroom and changed my clothes as fast as I could.
