I was shocked by her reaction but I could tell that it wasn't her intention to just yell at me that way. The moment she did that, I saw a sudden flash in her eyes and her eye color changed to that of flames. In her eyes, they were burning and I couldn't even look into them. I felt a sudden heat within me each time I tried to do that.

"Sarah, your eyes..." I alerted her subconsciously and she moved closer to the lake to check her reflection. She freaked out, as expected.

"What is this?!" She screamed. She drowned in panic and just couldn't stay calm. Then I held her close to me. "Calm down, Sarah. Chill." I cooed but she still wasn't calm.

I looked into her eyes and saw that the flames were gone. "It's gone, Sarah." I said again but she doubted my words and went ahead to check for herself. Seeing that her eyes were indeed back to normal, she finally calmed down.

"What was that?" She asked me.

"No idea." I replied to her even though I was getting a hold already of what was happ
