Ch 41

The night Elora's mother died was the night everything seemed alarmingly calm. Roman couldn't understand it but that same night he was told that his father stopped searching for Elora and has decided that Roman does not need to prove himself anymore. He demanded to see Roman immediately by the next day.

But how could he go? He may not have known Giselle that much but he knew the woman was a morally driven person. He knew she had a heart of gold to have raised a human all by herself even when she was dying. But there was something else he also knew - his father must've killed Giselle. It was too coincidental for Roman to rule his father out of the list of suspects.

That night, Roman watched Elora's whole world crumble as she begged her mother to get up. She begged and begged as if she was certain that her mother will hear her but...Roman knew that death had taken the poor girl's mother.
