Chapter 84

Ares POV

It took us longer than I wanted, but the moment we stepped over the border, Jamie’s voice echoed inside my mind.

“Did you find them?”

I wanted to tell her that we did, but we only had a lead. “We are going to Litochoro.”

Carson was in charge of gathering the warriors while I made my way to the packhouse. I was in desperate need of holding my mate in my arms and when I heard her voice inside my mind seconds ago, I knew she needed me too.

I quickly shifted back and rushed inside. When my gaze met hers, a small smile formed on her lips. After I put some clothes on, I made my way to her and wrapped my arms around her small frame.

“Are you okay?” I whispered while I held her close.

“The poison is… I had some trouble with my sight, but now that you’re here, I’m fine,” she said with a small smile that did nothing for the pain that roamed through her eyes.

I didn’t know what to say, but I’m glad that my presence helps her wolf fight the poison.
