Quinn Magenta's POV

“Dan is actually in a bad state, my Lord!” The guard shouted. “Dr. Lauren doesn't know if he would survive if he doesn't take an antidote within the next hour!”

I was shocked. I was truly shivering and my heart was beating harder. I couldn't afford to lose little Dan. He was a young child and he didn't deserve death. I had to save him but I wasn't settled enough to carry this out. I looked towards William and then towards Jojo. Both of them were looking so worried.

I had to make a choice here. Whatever decision I made would define what would happen to Dan. I needed to be careful and choose wisely.

“As it should be…” Eugene said slowly. “The doctor who gave you the twelve hour timeframe knows nothing about poisons. From what I think, the boy's immune system has been shattered already by now.
