However, the whole of my life would only continually take a turn till the very end. Staring down at the same file in my hands, one I held since Mira came and left.

My head, banging with ache as I frowned, the same way my knuckles that turned white.. I sighed.

Twenty-five years ago, I never had to stay indoors because even I somehow enjoyed the bully and gossip that goes around whenever I am amidst the rest of my mate in the orphanage. It gave me a sense of want, that aura that I carried around at the time Judah was taking. I never had anything to fear except for Hayley whose hate for me wasn't even my concern. And there was Judah, my worse enemy.

Still, I allowed myself feel, I allowed Derrick distract me from my thoughts. Where did that Anya disappear to? Why do I have to hide now, away from them? What changed..?

I couldn't tell.

The number of times I heard the door knock wasn't enough to pull me out if my thoughts. I continued fidgeting with my hand tapping on the file.
