Chapter Nine

Author's POV

“Are you okay?” Alicia asked, my already sobbing figure.

“No! I'm not, how could I possibly be when their re entrance is a threat to my everyday life, to my kids too”?

Alicia let her voice out her feelings before saying, “I know how you feel and the number of thoughts going through your mind, but I just returned because I haven't been feeling strong”

“Could we possibly talk tomorrow?”

“If you don't want them seeing me, then you could possibly come over so we could talk about how we'd move forward”, She added.

Guilt flooded Aubrey's heart as she realized that it's been long since she had checked up on her, Alicia was there alongside Layla and Hayden but only in the shadows.

They had both felt that if Alicia had approached her then Hayden would have asked to know about her, to which Aubrey wouldn't have any explanation for…after all, he believed that she had lost her memory.

“You could come around tomorrow, Alicia” Aubrey said quietly.

“Isn’t Hayden around?” She asked, cutting Aubrey off.

“No, he's to take the triplets out”

Talking to her had helped realize the tension she was starting to feel.

Holding unto Jay tightly, Aubrey soon fell asleep.

Upon waking up, there was no one home including the triplets, but rather a piece of paper was placed by her bedside.

He explained in the letter that he was taking them out to give her time to recover.

Aubrey smiled at his message and was sure that this was the reason she would rather not trade the live we have now with the life, she knew Aiden would have offered.

The fact that they were her mates was also something that caused a strain on her mental health.

She got up and began doing the house chores before preparing breakfast for herself, the house almost looked funny as all through the morning she hadn't yelled her babies names.

Alicia comes over by mid-afternoon, by then her nerves were already calm.

After serving her, Aubrey thanked her for being such a good support system and even asked if she wanted to stay a little while to get to meet the kids.

She chuckled and said, “The life I'm currently living now doesn't permit all these, but I'm grateful”.

We were roommates back at the pack and excluding the fact that she had saved her, we were never so close as Aubrey was always a castaway while she always kept to herself.

“About Aiden…” Alicia started and gave her full attention, I'd do anything right now to get him out of my life.

“He had approached me during my last visits to tender a message across, but I had bluntly refused”

“Even when he asked if I knew where you lived, even though he was my Alpha, I told him nothing still”

“He must have come all the way over here and searched from city to city” she stared and Aubrey didn't want to underestimate the power they wielded.

She asked Aubrey once again to express her ordeal and she did.

She then realized what Alicia was doing because the more they talked about it, the more relief he felt.

Having been found that there were two Aiden's shook her, and she took note of the fact that she hadn't told her anything about Two Aiden then it meant she knew nothing.

“The more you talk about him, the more power you give him over your thoughts”.

“You would be surprised to know that he won't stop until he gets what he wants,”

Aubrey noted that she made reference to Aiden as a person, meanwhile she had seen two right in front of him.

“Never show him weakness, it fuels their needs to be more man than Hayden can ever be.

Never show weakness!

Be strong on your resolve so you don't give him another chance to enter!

These were easy tasks which Aubrey was certain that Aiden and his twin would back off if she followed through, she knew what could possibly go wrong.

Aubrey did what she advised and, to her greatest surprise, rather than leaving like she had said, Aiden and his other twin made more attempts to have her talk to him and to which she refused.

She couldn't help it, but anytime Aubrey saw him, she was constantly reminded of his cruelty and the treatment that him and her ill fate had brought Her.

Aubrey wanted nothing to do with him and the reason was quite obvious, she had a good life going for me, and she won't let anyone spoil her rosy life.

She had Hayden and the triplets, a job that oasis her bills, here she wasn't some weak and sorry omega with no say.

Aubrey wondered if they were there to take them away from her because they had the triplet blood coursing through their veins.

She had tried to let her past remain behind her, and it was only a figment of her memory, but with the sudden arrival of the Alpha twins, she is confused as to how they doubled all of a sudden.

Aubrey was aware that she had sex with Aiden, or was it Aiden?

The thoughts and possibility of it not being Aiden lingered In her mind.

***

Aiden was confused and scared that it would all be a waste.

He had been trying so much to get through her, but no matter how much he tried, she just didn't wait to hear him out.

Their plan wasn't going accordingly to plan, and the fact of his people rested on her shoulders.

Time was of essence.

Just a few months after she had left, he found his long-lost Twin brother and Damon had recounted everything to him.

How he had been the one that was intimate With Aubrey.

Damon never told him the reason, but Aiden felt that it was his way to prevent him from being Alpha…too bad it didn't work.

They had already caused such a big turmoil in her life.

He wondered how shock she will be to find two of him. He felt more than sorry about the pain he had caused her, and she was left to bear the brunt of this.

After she had left and presumed dead, having sex with any girl especially omegas made him to think about her.

His mind was fixated on her, and he couldn't stop thinking about her, and he longed for her in his arms.

Aiden knew that If he told her the truth she wouldn't want to come back to the Pack. But he could do anything just for her to come back, although she wasn't budging.

An idea suddenly flashed to his mind, “The triplets”.
