“So how does it feel to be back from the dead?” Giovanni asked as everyone gathered in the living room watching as Genesis wolfed down the food that Melody had prepared for him, “Genesis Aldous! Slow down or you’ll choke!” Melody scolded as she slapped him on the shoulder causing him a sheepish smile with his cheeks filled.

Swallowing before looking up at Melody, who stood beside him with her arm around his shoulder, he grinned, “I’m sorry, Mel, I’m starving and your food is the best,” he said as everyone nodded in agreement while Melody smiled down at Genesis before kissing his forehead

“I’m just glad that you’re alright, we were all worried,” she said as Genesis looked around to see everyone’s concerned-filled eyes, a sigh to escape from his lips, “I’m sorry, I should’ve been more aware of my surroundings that night, everything just happened so fast, I didn’t see where they came from,” he explained as Giovanni leaned forward to rest on his knees.

“What were you even doing in the f
