The hanging wall clock in front of me kept ticking away without stopping. At that lowest point, anxiety could have been my middle name.

Despite my having done nothing to deserve it, the pack's members still had a deep-seated animosity toward me. I had only just gotten there and I have tried everything in my power to be a good person but it just wasn't good enough for them.
