Chapter Twenty-five

Eliana's Pov

Noah was nowhere close when we left the stables, the attenders saying they saw him leave the area, but not in the car. Mia and Val tried his number but it wasn't going through. I called once, but that was it.

After many texts, he replied Val, telling him he had some important things to do, all work related. Val wasn't having it, but let it go when Noah wasn't saying the right things.

We went ahead with the picnic, Val and Mia trying to include me in their conversations as much as they possibly could. That tried helping to stop my mind from drifting, but wasnt anywhere near enough.

That kiss wasn't supposed to happen. The adrenalin caused this, pushing us into thinking it was a good idea to kiss ourselves, making this situation stickier than it already was. It was slow, unlike the first one, this had a lot of words unspoken woven into it.
