As promised, Chloe arrived exactly on time to pick me up. Note the sarcasm.

I have been doing a marathon to my windows and the couch, occasionally sitting down to rest my legs that might require more jumping and cheering later today.

She promised to be here an hour ago but I don't find any trace of her. Nor do I know what she's upto.

When I gave up on her and almost decided to call it off, Chloe pinged me that she's outside my house.

I heaved an exasperated sigh. "I'm leaving Juliette. Will be back by 7."

"Okay. Take care. And remember, no kiss cam-"

"Juliette, we didn't even plan anything for the game."

"Just saying." She shrugged it off. "Don't want you airing on live TV."

I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the house. I spotted Chloe's car and went straight to it and got in.

"Aren't you a little too early?" I asked.

"Sorry Sapphire, you know how demanding the makeup is when you're a cheerleader." She said, pouting.
