Chapter Eighteen

Music blared from the speakers and everyone around was busy partying away with loud cheers escaping their lips as they danced. The air inside the house was stale and there was an overpowering smell of liquor which lingered in the air along with the fumes from cigarette and cigars and whatever else they were cooking up.

The oversized sweater was making it easier to move around and dance, as it allowed enough air to pass over my bare skin, which was a lucky pick considering the strong liquor was already working it's magic and my insides already felt overheated. I was feeling both hot and cold at the same time and I was thankful the sweater wouldn't get stuck to my skin or damped from sweat anytime soon.

The tune blasted some more while teens and college students were in lip locks and getting down and partying their lives away. As for me the punch had left a metallic taste in my mouth and my body tingled madly
