Josie POV

Ugh, I think, again I am out? Hasn’t this been enough already? I contemplate what went wrong. Well for one I should have waited for someone to come with me. But would that have really stopped me from getting stabbed? I doubted it very much and in fact, wondered if it might have been Sam who got hurt instead of me. Or both of us and Sam left for dead.

Whatever, I would not change it if it meant that I was wounded, and Sam was not. “Josie, you need to stop taking chances,” I hear from someone behind me. I turn to see the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. The Moon Goddess has returned to speak with me. “Moon Goddess?” I ask to be certain.

“Yes child,” she murmurs before continuing, “What am I going to do with you?” she questions sounding frustrated. I smile at that, “I suspect I am going to hear that from my mate as well when I wake up,” I suggest to her. She was not smiling. “Josie, this is serious. You cannot keep taking
