Chapter 53

When Joshua and Alpha Lucien returned to the pack house, Joshua walked straight to me and picked me up in a bear hug. He buried his face in my neck and inhaled my scent, calming himself and me. Alpha Lucien, Doug and Andrew walked in and I asked, “Did we have any casualties?” Andrew shook his head, “No, that was a big rogue attack.” I nodded, “I took care of four of them just outside the front and back doors. It was nuts.” Then I sighed and looked around the pack house with my hands on my hips, shaking my head. There was trash from take-out meals, cups, pizza boxes, and even old food all over the place. I looked in the kitchen and the stovetop looked like it hadn’t been washed since I left the pack. It was caked with grease and every dish in the kitchen was dirty.
